What Is the UAE MOH License?
The UAE MOH license covers the northern emirates: Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. It does not cover Dubai (DHA) or Abu Dhabi (DOH).
The UAE MOH license is issued by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and is required to legally practice in any healthcare facility in the five northern emirates of the UAE — Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain.
The MOH license is widely considered the most accessible UAE licensing route for internationally trained healthcare professionals. Unlike DHA and DOH, MOH accepts recent graduates with internship completion — making it a popular first-step entry into UAE practice while candidates build the experience needed for DHA or DOH later.
All MOH exam registrations and license applications are submitted through the MOHAP portal, with exams delivered at Prometric testing centres globally. DataFlow primary source verification is mandatory for all MOH applicants, the same as DHA and DOH.
