All GCC medical licensing exams share a common format — Prometric-delivered, multiple-choice, specialty-specific — but each authority sets its own blueprint and passing standard.
All GCC licensing exams are delivered through Prometric test centres and consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) drawn from a specialty-specific examination blueprint. The blueprint defines which clinical domains are tested and at what weighting.
The DHA exam typically contains 100–150 multiple-choice questions depending on your specialty. It covers clinical knowledge, patient management, and medical ethics relevant to UAE healthcare practice.
The SCFHS exam for Saudi Arabia covers specialty-specific clinical content and is widely regarded as one of the more demanding GCC licensing exams. Most candidates need 2–4 months of structured preparation. We provide a customised study plan based on your specialty, current knowledge level, and exam date.
Exams can be sat at international Prometric centres — you do not need to travel to the GCC to sit the exam. This allows you to begin preparation and sit the exam before you have a job offer in hand, which significantly strengthens your position with prospective employers.
